The Magpul PTS Masada Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR) is an Airsoft AEG which is based on the real steel Magpul ACR design - completely reproducing all of its fine details. It can repidly reconfigurable for length, magazine capacity, stock type and fire control set up.

This is a gun that really needs no introduction. If you’re looking for the biggest and the baddest AEG, look no further than the Socom Gear Barrett M82A1. It is big and it is heavy, but in the right hands, it can be used very effectively.

Inside:
Both the upper and lower receivers, as well as the bipod and carry handle are made of high grade steel, with other parts being CNC machined aluminum. It includes a metal V2 gearbox, M4 style hop unit, 650mm long 6.03mm diameter Madbull tightbore inner barrel and hop-up bucking, meaning that it’s not just pretty shell; it is a fully skirmishable high end rifle straight out of the box. The ease of compatibility means that your upgrades are not limited to a single brand. This has the potential to have all kinds of nice upgrades or downgrades.

Gearbox:
The V2 gearbox is equipped with 7mm ball bearings, a metal spring guide, and an polycarbonate piston. The chromed cylinder is a Type-0 portless design, which is optimised for the long barrel. The motor is an unmarked high torque type. The top of the gearbox is reinforced using a metal support that is screwed onto the four screw holes. It should help stiffen up the top of the gearbox, for high FPS upgrades.

Outside:
The main body comes in two halves which are quick to put together, echoing the real version. The body is steel which adds to the strength and gives it a realistic look. The markings are correct and true to the real version, this is the first Barret to offer this. The 24" top RIS rail has rail marker numbers. The bipod fixes in three positions, rear, down and forward. The legs then have several different height adjustments. The bipod can be quickly removed by a single locking pin. The magazine is unusual, it uses an outer shell which contains a M16 VN high cap.

The T.A.R. 21 is an Israeli bullpup assault rifle chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition with a selective fire system. Bullpup rifles are configured in a layout in which the bolt carrier group is placed behind the pistol grip; this shortens the overall length but does not sacrifice barrel length. The T.A.R. 21 provides carbine length, but rifle muzzle velocity. The bullpup design is also used to minimize the silhouette of soldiers and to maximize effectiveness in turning corners in urban warfare.

The Chinese-made Type 97 broke the mould of Chinese-made assault rifles in that it wasn't based on the design of another gun (the Type 81 and Type 56 prior to that were based on the AK series). The Type 95 used the Chinese-developed 5.8mm caliber, which outperformed the 7.62mm caliber in tests. The Type 97 is an export version, which chambers the 5.56mm NATO round instead. It was first introduced in the handover of Hong Kong, on the 1st July 1997, when the Chinese PLA Garrison Troops in Hong Kong were armed with the then brand new assault rifle.

RS continue their principle of creating authentic airsoft replicas of real-steel guns with this Type 97. Their thorough research and development means that this is an ultra-realistic AEG. Just like their Type 56/Type56-1, it features an all-new specially-developed 7mm bearing metal gearbox so that the original dimensions could be retained. The gearbox has also been equipped with a high strength gear set, air seal nozzle and spring lease device, for easy care and modification. All the external parts you see are identical to the real-steel version, even the disassembly/assembly has been faithfully replicated! Field-stripping this gun is done by removing the two lock pins for a quick disassembly.

Just like the real thing, the butt stock, upper and lower handguard are made of high strength polmer - special Nylon 66. The properties of this material make it durable yet lightweight, maintaining a rigid structure. It has a real-steel factory standard high strength duralmin forged frame, which has been CNC processed, hard coat anodized and is resistant to corrosion. What RS have done is quite admirable, and the research, development & manufacturing processes have been very concise in making a gun which is, in aesthetics, a perfect replica of the real-steel Type 97.

The Type 97B has a slight misfortune, it is a sad case that photographs do not do it justice! It is as solid as its larger brother with a more compact "CP" feel to it. Between it's outstanding durability and performance it would rein supreme in any indoor environment!
