The Desert Tech HTI (Hard Target Interdiction) rifle was born in West Valley City, Utah, and revealed at ShotShow 2012 as Desert Tech's foray into the high caliber scene. Designed using a lot of the same thinking as it's little sister, the SRS, it was built for the purpose of using the same calibers as contemporary Anti-Materiel rifles, one of which being the terrifying .50 BMG, while still having a very short overall length by using a bullpup configuration. Although the rifle is a lot shorter than it's main rival, the prodigious Barrett M82A1, it still retains impressive ballistic performance over long range, as well as having the significant advantage of having multiple, quick change barrels to rapidly convert the rifle's caliber for whatever the situation demands. Any rifle, in the right hands, can pull off some amazing feats, but for the discerning shooter who wants to push it to the limits of what is possible, the HTI should be your first port of call.

The Silverback HTI is our licensed version of the Desert Tech Hard Target Interdiction bullpup sniper rifle, in its .50 BMG configuration.

The HTI monolithic receiver is the largest piece of CNC in the airsoft industry. This massive piece of 2 Kg, made of aeronautical grade aluminium, by CNC, features the patented barrel mount by Desert Tech, that strongly clamps onto the barrel and firmly secure it. Each receiver has a unique engraved serial number. The hand guard (CNC, aeronautical grade aluminium) is using Desert Tech rail attachment system.

The outer barrel (CNC, aeronautical grade aluminium) is deeply fluted and equipped with a massive .50 BMG muzzle brake (SBA-FHD-05). The barrel is threaded (M25X1.5), and can receive the Elite Iron Alpha .50 Silencer, or the M14x1 CCW adapter.

Inner barrel (6.05 x 730 mm, brass) and hop-up rubber (silicone 60°) are of AEG type.

The two-way CNC aluminium hop-up unit, directly attached to the quick-change barrel assembly, is allowing barrel switch in seconds while keeping your hop up setting. Hop up setting is done by two screws on top of the rifle, through the receiver, with the provided key, without removing the barrel. Hop-up can alternatively be used with two larger setting screws at the cost of quick-change keeping hop setting ability.

The HTI bolt has the largest volume of air and the largest springs in the airsoft industry. Stock spring type and muzzle energy may differ from one country to another, please check directly with your retailer. The 30 mm bore of this massive cylinder delivers 71 cc of air, allowing the use of very long inner barrels without negative effect from the cylinder/inner barrel ratio. The QD spring guide features a huge thrust bearing and a POM guide for a smooth and silent priming movement. The piston is made of steel and aluminium, with a synthetic rubber piston cup. The bolt dust cover is perforated, and the red piston is acting as a priming indicator. The bolt handle accepts M8 bolt knobs.

The HTI trigger is adjustable in position and pre-load. Piston and trigger sear are made by CNC out of stainless steel (90° system). The steel safety is ambidextrous.

Stock is made of fibreglass reinforced Nylon, and buttpad has a CNC aluminium grade frame covered with a large rubber damper.

Steel magazine has a 38 rounds capacity. This magazine introduces a new screw-less design, allowing quick tool-less disassembly for cleaning. The magazine can be used with a long/soft follower allowing users to fully empty the magazine.

The HTI is equipped with a replica of the patented Desert Tech monopod.

No zinc alloy, all screws are in 10.9 steel.

Colours available: Black/FDE. Length: 1125 mm. Weight: 6.100 Kg (with magazine).

This has been tested and firing around 400FPS with 0.20g BB's.
