The Luftwaffe's Last Hope
As the situation became more desperate for the German forces near the end of WWII, a call was made for a new inexpensive jet fighter that would be simple to produce and fly. In the amazingly short span of 3 months from drawing board to first flight of the prototype, Heinkel produced the small, sporty-looking He162. The lightweight fighter featured mainly wooden construction and was powered by a BMW003 turbojet, which made it the fastest jet fighter of WWII with its 838km/h top speed. Reaching combat units in late March 1945, it managed to record some successes despite the acute fuel and parts shortage.
About the Model
High-quality assembly kit display model of the He162 A-2 "Salamander" jet fighter.

★ Top-mounted BMW003 turbojet engine with parts for opened and closed engine bay covers to allow full display of internal details.
★ Special dolly included to display the engine separate from the aircraft.
★ Canopy can be posed in the open or closed positions, and the ejector seat is removeable.
★ Includes 1 pilot figure and 4 types of markings.
Two sets of engine cover parts (open & closed) can be interchangeable even after assembly.
Engine can be displayed on the special dolly to showcase all the mechanical details.
Distinctive tail design is accurately replicated.
Detailed landing gear is conveniently engineered to be easy to assemble.
Model Kit, requires assembly, glue and paint.
We will endeavour to despatch your package within 24 hours although at peak times this may take slightly longer. Orders for RIFs may take 48 hours as we test and chronograph each rifle before shipping.
Our couriers only deliver Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm (0800 - 1800 hours) except for local and national holidays. We do not directly control the couriers and we cannot obtain a specific delivery time from them. Delivery may be delayed by extreme weather and events and again is out of our control and accept no liability for delays caused by this.

We reserve the right to adjust shipping methods and costs but this is usually done in your favour and you will be informed by email.
